In case the Muslim is facing his own calamities or problems not the whole Ummah (Islamic nation), there are some various Adhkar that will help remove his troubles and grief. The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: Indeed I know a word, if an anguished man says it, Allah will drive away his anguish and grief. It is the word of my brother Yunus (Prophet Yunus (Alaihi Salaam)): None has the right to be worshipped but You (Allah). Truly, I have been of the wrong-doers. (21:87) . This Hadith is narrated by Tirmizi from Sa'ad Ibn Abi Waqqas . Also, we find it in Sunan of Tirmizi from Asma'a Bint 'Umais . She said: The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said to me: Shall I not teach you some words to say when you feel distressed: Allahu Rabbi, La Ushriku Bihi Shai'a (Allah is my Lord, and I do not associate anything with Him).

We can also find a Hadith which is narrated by Ahmad and others on the authority of Ibn Mas'ud , may Allah be pleased with him, that he said: The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: Allaahumma Innee 'Abduka Wa Ibn 'Abdika Wa Ibn Amatika, Naasiyati Bi Yadika, Maadin Fiyya Hukmuka, 'Adlun Fiyya Qadaa'uka, As'aluka Bi Kulli Ismin Huwa Laka Sammayta Bihi Nafsaka Aw Anzaltahu Fi Kitaabika Aw 'Allamtahu Ahadan Min Khalqika Aw Ista'tharta Bihi Fi 'Ilm Il-Ghaybi 'Andak An Taj'ala Al-Qur'aana Rabee' Qalbi Wa Noor Sadri Wa Jalaa'a Huzni Wa Dhahaaba Hammi (O Allah, I am Your slave, son of Your slave, son of Your female slave, my forelock is in Your Hand, Your Command over me is forever executed and Your Decree over me is just. I ask You by every Name belonging to You which You named Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or You taught to any of Your creation, or You have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the life of my heart and the light of my breast, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety)' - but Allah will take away his sorrow and grief, and give him instead of them joy and happiness.
Allah knows best.

It is also reported that when the prophet mohammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) faced a difficulty he used to say the following supplication: "O Ever-Living! O Self-Subsisting and Supporter of all. By Your Mercy I seek assistance." [At-Tirmithi]

اللهم انا نسالك الجنة بغير حساب و لا عذاب
